CSS Properties

Sets the bottom edge of an element to a unit above/below the bottom edge of its containing element.
Specifies the type of cursor to be displayed when pointing on an element.

CSS Properties Descriptions

bottom

The bottom property sets the bottom edge of an element to a unit above/below the bottom edge of its containing element.

bottom:[value]
auto

Automatically calculate the bottom edge position. This is default.

px

Sets the bottom edge position in pixels. Negative values are allowed.

%

Sets the bottom edge position in % of the containing element. Negative values are allowed.

cursor

The cursor property specifies the type of cursor to be displayed when pointing on an element.

cursor:[value]
auto

Automatically set a cursor.

default

The default cursor.

pointer

The cursor is a pointer and indicates a link.

display

Sets a value that indicates whether and how the object is rendered.

display:[value]
block

Element is rendered as a block element.

none

Element is not rendered.

fill

The 'fill' attribute defines the color of the interior of the given graphical element.

fill:[value]
color

Specifies the background color.

fill-opacity

This attribute specifies the opacity of the color or the content the current object is filled with.

fill-opacity:[value]
number

Specifies the opacity. From 0.0 (fully transparent) to 1.0 (fully opaque).

font-family

The font-family property specifies the font for an element. It can hold several font names as a "fallback" system. If the first font is not supported, it tries the next font.

font-family:[value]
family-name

A prioritized list of font family names and/or generic family names.

font-size

font-size:[value]
em

Sets the font-size to a percent of the parent element's font size.

px

Sets the font-size in pixels.

font-style

The font-style property specifies the font style for a text.

font-style:[value]
normal

Displays a normal font style. This is default.

italic

Displays an italic font style.

font-weight

The font-weight property sets how thick or thin characters in text should be displayed.

font-weight:[value]
normal

Defines normal characters. This is default.

bold

Defines thick characters.

height

The height property sets the height of an element.

height:[value]
auto

Automatically calculate the height. This is default.

length

Defines the height in px, cm, etc.

%

Defines the height in percent of the containing group.

left

The left property sets the left edge of an element to a unit to the left/right of the left edge of its containing element.

left:[value]
auto

Automatically calculate the left edge position. This is default.

length

Sets the left edge position in px, cm, etc. Negative values are allowed.

%

Sets the left edge position in % of containing element. Negative values are allowed.

margin

The margin shorthand property sets all the margin properties in one declaration. This property can have from one to four values.

margin:[value value value value]
length

Specifies a margin in px, pt, cm, etc. Default value is 0.

%

Specifies a margin in percent of the width of the containing element.

auto

Automatically calculate a margin.

margin-bottom

The margin-bottom property sets the bottom margin of an element.

margin-bottom:[value]

Specifies a fixed bottom margin in px, pt, cm, etc. Default value is 0.

The margin-left property sets the left margin of an element.

The margin-right property sets the right margin of an element.

margin-top

The margin-top property sets the top margin of an element.

Automatically calculates a top margin.

max-height

The max-height property is used to set the maximum height of an element. This prevents the value of the height property from becoming larger than max-height.

max-height:[value]
none

No maximum height. This is default.

length

Defines the maximum height in px, cm, etc.

%

Defines the maximum height in percent of the containing block.

max-width

The max-width property is used to set the maximum width of an element. This prevents the value of the width property from becoming larger than max-width.

max-width:[value]
none

No maximum width. This is default.

length

Defines the maximum width in px, cm, etc.

%

Defines the maximum width in percent of the containing block.

min-height

The min-height property is used to set the minimum height of an element. This prevents the value of the height property from becoming smaller than min-height.

min-height:[value]
length

Default value is 0. Defines the minimum height in px, cm, etc.

%

Defines the minimum height in percent of the containing block.

min-width

The min-width property is used to set the minimum width of an element. This prevents the value of the width property from becoming smaller than min-width.

min-width:[auto]
length

Default value is 0. Defines the minimum width in px, cm, etc.

Defines the minimum width in percent of the containing block.

opacity

The opacity property sets the opacity level for an element. The opacity-level describes the transparency-level, where 1 is not transparant at all, 0.5 is 50% see-through, and 0 is completely transparent.

opacity:[value]
number

Specifies the opacity. From 0.0 (fully transparent) to 1.0 (fully opaque).

The right property sets the right edge of an element to a unit to the left/right of the right edge of its containing element.

right:[value]
auto

Automatically calculate the right edge position. This is default.

length

Sets the right edge position in px, cm, etc. Negative values are allowed.

%

Sets the right edge position in % of containing element. Negative values are allowed.

stroke

The stroke property defines the color of the outline of an element.

stroke:[value]
color

Specifies the background color.

stroke-width

The stroke-width property defines the thickness of the outline of an element.

stroke-width:[value]
length

Set the size of the stroke in px.

text-decoration

The text-decoration property specifies the decoration added to text.

text-decoration:[value]
none

Defines a normal text. This is default.

underline

Defines a line below the text.

top

The top property sets the top edge of an element to a unit above/below the top edge of its containing element.

top:[value]
auto

Automatically calculate the top edge position. This is default.

length

Sets the top edge position in px, cm, etc. Negative values are allowed.

%

Sets the top edge position in % of containing element. Negative values are allowed.

transform

The transform property applies a 2D or 3D transformation to an element. This property allows you to rotate, scale, move, skew, etc., elements.

transform:[function(parameters)]
none

Defines that there should be no transformation.

translate(x,y)

Defines a 2D translation.

width

The width property sets the width of an element.

transform:[function(parameters)]
auto

Default value. The browser calculates the width.

length

Defines the width in px, cm, etc.
